The Estacada School District is seeking an Early Childhood Intervention Evaluator for the 2024/2025 schol year.

Primary Function
This position will primarily focus on the support and implementation of initial evaluations and reevaluations for Summit Learning Charter and also the Estacada School District's Early Intervention and Early Childhood evaluations. This position requires expertise in child development, special education and evaluation. This position will also support the evaluation and re-evaluations of students attending Summit Learning Charter. Expertise needed in oral and written communication, building positive relationships, implementation of legal requirements for both early intervention, early childhood and school age evaluations. This position will have a unique calendar schedule to meet the requirements of EI/EC evaluations but will have the same number of work days as other teachers, per licensed collective bargaining agreement. Overall, this role involves providing specialized support, guidance, and training to ensure the educational needs of children with ASD and behavioral challenges are met effectively within the EI/ECSE system.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement evaluations and re-evaluations for Summit Learning Charter
  • Support and implementation of evaluation processes for children's eligibility for EI/ECSE services.
  • Building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Implementing legal requirements for evaluation for special education and EI/ECSE services.
  • Work schedule includes summer months; schedule to be provided annually.

Required
Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education with a focus on learners with unique learning abilities, including autism spectrum disorder and lagging skills in social emotional learning.
  • Expertise in child development, special education, and evaluation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum three years of recent experience with diverse learners
  • Minimum of three years of EI/ECSE and/or school age evaluation experience
  • Experience in developing behavior support plans, visual supports, and communication enhancement programs.
  • Experience in teaching social interaction and play skills.
  • Knowledge of current research and educational practices with diverse learners.
  • Appropriate licensure through TSPC
  • Knowledge of teaching the general curriculum.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.

Experience:

  • Direct experience with students across age ranges and various levels.
  • Community-based instruction and inclusion.
  • Training for professionals, paraprofessionals, and community members.
  • Interagency networking and collaboration.
  • Current knowledge of assistive technology.


Essential Functions:

  • Providing consultative services to district staff, students, and parents.
  • Offering individualized educational recommendations for students aged 5 through 11.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing student IEPs/instructional programs.
  • Evaluating student progress and recommending intervention strategies.
  • Demonstrating/teaching specialized strategies and providing workshops.
  • Assisting in procuring specialized instructional materials.
  • Facilitating interagency collaboration.
  • Prepare necessary documentation (evaluation reports, observations, contact with parents, teachers and other professionals) for the purpose of providing written support, developing recommendations and/or conveying information.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the EI/ECSE evaluation program and the related data collection, management and reporting protocols needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SALARY, BENEFITS, CONTRACT
$55,447-$94,492 (Starting 24/25, dependent upon verified years of experience and education as shown on official transcripts salary will be prorated for actual contract days worked and pro-rated for FTE)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
